reimagining education as
a public process
As a student, educator, and learning designer, I am constantly grappling with this tension: is education for individual success or collective flourishing?
I spent years chasing success, only to find myself isolated, suffocated by the emptiness of my pursuits. I came to realize that the unequal, hyper-individual pursuit of success is tearing our society apart. But the problem is larger than any individual's choices: the very structure of our education system rewards self-interested behavior.
I'm dedicated to deconstructing this system of self-interest and rebuilding one that promotes democratic, shared progress.
In this portfolio, I develop the idea of education as a public process through my writing, research, and projects. If any of this resonates with you, reach out to me. I'd love to talk.
Build meaningful local relationships with young people, organizations, and educators.

A transformative education is one that supplies resources and makes space for people to support meaningful lives and nourish their communities. My educational design work focuses on student voice, mutual ownership, financial sovereignty, and community building.
Education is nested in a web of other complex systems, including housing, labor, and political systems. My design approach takes a broad view and honors complexity while remaining specific and actionable.
Education is a lifelong process, and every era presents a new wave of problems. I do not expect to perfectly fix anything for anyone in my lifetime, but I do believe that we can always improve and adapt.
I've organized my work around three key focus areas that are pivotal for transforming education into a public process.
Redefine the connections between K-12, higher ed, and the workforce.
Share in local challenges, facilitate conversation, provide research insights, and invest in the regional economy.
Emerging technologies must be intentionally implemented to promote equity.
